Sponsors, donors, volunteers, golfers, and gala attendees came together to raise $900,000 at Benefis Foundation’s annual fundraiser, Mayfaire, held May 1 and 2.
Contributions will go toward establishing the Goodnow Healthy Aging Center, on track to open this fall. The innovative center aims to help people live healthier, more independent lives as they age.
“Because of this support, the future of aging care in our region is brighter than ever. Our community sees the need for this new approach, and we appreciate – and share – that excitement,” said Jami Wald, chief operating officer of Benefis Foundation. “We are so grateful and amazed by our supporters and their generosity.”
The outpouring of support at the 27th Mayfaire brings closer to realization the debut of the 15,000-square-foot outpatient clinic, which will address issues of nutrition, medication, cognitive health, and mobility with dedicated specialists focusing on care gaps in prevention and adaptations.
Seventy teams of golfers enjoyed outstanding weather at the Meadow Lark Country Club. The A&E + SMA Design team took home the Mayfaire Cup.
The 2026 Luminary Award, a recognition of those “whose generosity, leadership, and vision shine a bright light in our community,” was presented at the gala to Paul Dolan, MD, a physician in Great Falls since 1986 and a leader who has been developing the Goodnow Healthy Aging Center.
“Dr. Dolan’s vision and generosity are truly transformative for this community and all who will benefit from the center,” Jami said. “He was immediately intrigued by the promise of a healthy aging center. He could see how it would change the quality of life for people in their last decades – more health, more independence, more engagement, and more of what gives their lives meaning. He could see how that would transform not just an individual’s course but also that of a family and a community.”
