Family Promise of Great Falls has recently been awarded a substantial grant of $8,574 through Montana Federal Credit Union and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. This funding will enhance Family Promise’s Stabilization Program, which is one of five comprehensive programs aimed at addressing the urgent needs of families with children who are experiencing homelessness.
In a significant development in 2025, Family Promise Great Falls expanded the capabilities of the Stabilization Program by incorporating the innovative Journey curriculum. This curriculum is designed to provide structured training and establish clear, measurable benchmarks that empower families to monitor their progress effectively. It also allows families to celebrate key milestones as they navigate the path toward long-term stability and independence.
The mission of Family Promise of Great Falls is a profound commitment to ending childhood homelessness one family at a time. Family Promise seeks to provide crucial support to families facing homelessness and to low-income families, steering them towards achieving sustainable independence. This is accomplished through a coordinated community-based response that mobilizes local resources and support systems.
Over the past year alone, Family Promise was able to serve a total of 110 families, including 235 children. The organization provided more than 5,400 meals, reflecting a considerable outreach to those in need. Grants like the one received from Montana Federal Credit Union are instrumental in ensuring that these essential services not only continue but also expand to meet growing community needs.
