At approximately 2:37 PM on Friday, May 29th, 911 callers reported a male struggling to stay afloat in the Missouri River. The Great Falls Police Department, Great Falls Fire Rescue, and the Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office collaborated to rescue him near the 9th Street Bridge.

The male was initially resistant to the rescuers’ attempts, but he appeared to be unharmed and was eventually retrieved from the river successfully.
