Power School proudly held its annual Power of Impact ceremony, a student-led tradition that recognizes community members, educators, and mentors who have made a lasting difference in the lives of graduating seniors.
Now in its third year, Power of Impact was originally created by Power School graduate Jaxson Parkinson as part of his Leadership and Community Involvement class. The tradition continues today as seniors honor individuals whose guidance and support shaped them long before they realized the depth of that influence. This year’s theme, “Rooted in Influence,” emphasized the idea that true impact often grows quietly over time through consistency, care, and belief in students.
During the ceremony, members of the Class of 2026 recognized community members and school staff who have played meaningful roles in their personal and academic journeys. While some seniors were unable to attend due to school competitions, each recognition reflected thoughtful reflection and gratitude.
This year’s event was supported by FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) and funding from Youth Service America, with senior Tanner Vick helping lead efforts to ensure the tradition continues for future graduating classes. FCCLA members also connected the ceremony to Youth Service America’s Week of Service, highlighting gratitude as a powerful form of service and leadership.
Power of Impact continues to strengthen the connection between students, school, and community by celebrating those whose influence lasts far beyond the classroom. The ongoing success of the tradition reflects the leadership of students and the strong support of the Power community.
