Meet Remington: A Gentle Giant Ready for a Fresh Start
Remington, affectionately known as Remi, arrived at the Great Falls Animal Shelter underweight, unsure, and in need of time to heal. With steady meals, a calm environment, and patient care, this five-year-old mixed-breed has transformed into a healthy, devoted companion who is now ready for a new chapter.
At 92 pounds, Remi is a big dog with an equally big heart. He can be nervous when encountering new people, places, or situations, and vet visits have historically been a challenge for him. However, once he learns to trust, Remi’s true personality emerges. He becomes playful, affectionate, and steadfastly loyal to the people he connects with. His protective instincts come naturally, and he forms deep, meaningful bonds with his family.
Remi also enjoys grooming time, especially brushing sessions that help him shed out his old coat as he continues to feel better each day. His progress since arriving at the shelter has been remarkable, and he is now both physically and emotionally ready for a permanent home.
