At approximately 7:50 PM on March 16th, officers from the Great Falls Police Department were dispatched to the Grandview Terrace Trailer Park, located in the 700 block of 17th Ave S, to investigate a family disturbance.

Within minutes of their arrival, the officers became involved in a critical incident during which gunshots were fired.

Lt. Matt Fleming, the Public Information Officer for GFPD, provided a brief media release on March 17th about the incident. He stated, “We can confirm that one person has been transported from the scene by ambulance.”

Several GFPD officers were involved in the incident, but none required immediate medical treatment for injuries.

The GFPD has requested assistance from the Montana Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation, which will serve as the lead investigative agency.

Due to the ongoing investigation, the GFPD was unable to release further information at this time.
