On March 17th, at approximately 10:30 AM, School Resource Officer Detective Kinsey received information about a potential threat involving a parent of a student at Sacajawea Elementary. The parent had previously made threats toward school staff and students.
School staff attempted to instruct the parent to stay away from the school, but those efforts went unacknowledged. In response to the situation, Officer Kinsey initiated a shelter-in-place procedure at the school and, along with Detective Fleming, waited for the suspect to arrive.
At approximately 12:00 PM, Kinsey and Fleming observed the suspect drive onto the school property and quickly took them into custody. The suspect has been charged with Intimidation (MCA 45-5-203), a felony, and has been remanded to the Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office Adult Detention Center.
