Captain Maren Reilly, Lieutenant Brooke Wells, and Engineers J.D. Kulbeck and Ryan Olson recently represented Great Falls Fire Rescue at the 35th Firefighter Stairclimb held at Seattle’s Columbia Center. They climbed over 1,300 steps while wearing full turnout gear.

This event is the world’s largest on-air stairclimb competition, exclusively for career, volunteer, and retired firefighters. The annual stair climb raises funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and honors firefighters, friends, and family members who have battled cancer.

Members of Great Falls Fire Rescue took on this challenge not only to support this important cause but also to honor those close to them who have faced this disease. Every step is a reminder that no one fights cancer alone.
