
On February 9, 2026, at approximately 2:32 PM, the Chouteau County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a blue Hyundai Elantra with Montana license plate EJG626. According to reports, this vehicle was seen pulling into the EGT grain bin area located near mile marker 31 on US Highway 87. It matched the description of a vehicle involved in a homicide investigation out of Cut Bank, Montana.
According to a press release from Chouteau County Sheriff’s Office, Undersheriff Jacques located the vehicle around mile marker 39 as it was turning into Fort Benton. He followed it down Highway 386 to 13th Street, where Sheriff Smith joined him.
The vehicle pulled into the gas pumps at the Joyco gas station located at 816 13th Street. Undersheriff Jacques and Sheriff Smith initiated a high-risk traffic stop at the gas pumps. Corporal Skunkcap and Deputy Smith arrived shortly afterward, and the two occupants were removed from the vehicle without incident at 2:44 PM.
The driver was identified as 46-year-old Natasha Siliezar, and the passenger was identified as 43-year-old Alfred Joseph Smith. Both individuals, wanted in connection with a homicide in Cut Bank, were taken into custody and are currently being held at the Chouteau County Detention Center in Fort Benton. The vehicle was seized and secured for evidence processing. Montana Highway Patrol and the US Marshals were also on the scene and actively searching the area.
