Power High School FCCLA member, Quaid Callison, in partnership with the Power Volunteer Fire Department and Vision Zero, recently unveiled the first-ever sign identifying the Power fire hall. The sign was formally introduced during a home basketball game, where volunteer firefighters were recognized at center court for their service to the community. The presentation was led by senior Quaid Callison as part of his Leadership and Community Involvement project.

Until now, the Power fire hall did not have a sign identifying the building. The new sign improves visibility for drivers and helps clearly mark the location. It also serves as a visible reminder for drivers to stay alert and prepared to yield to emergency responders.

The sign was designed through collaboration between Callison and members of the Power Volunteer Fire Department. Its purple and maroon colors represent Power and the partnership between Dutton-Brady, as the Titans and the cooperation between their volunteer fire crews. Firefighters provided direct input throughout the design process to ensure the sign reflected both safety needs and community pride.

“The sign isn’t just a sign, it’s a way to honor every volunteer firefighter who has sacrificed their time, effort, and safety in order to protect our communities,” says Callison

This project supports Vision Zero’s goal of reducing serious injuries and fatalities on Montana roads by increasing awareness of emergency response areas.

Power FCCLA thanks the Power Volunteer Fire Department and Vision Zero for their partnership and support in completing this project.
