The Dandelion Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was established in February 2011. Its mission is to prevent child abuse, neglect, and family violence in North Central Montana.

On June 6th, they held the 11th Annual Dandelion Foundation Color Fun Run. The proceeds from the race support the important work of the Dandelion Foundation in its efforts to end child abuse and family violence. This family-friendly event featured a 1-mile run and a 5K, with competitive timing added this year. Registered participants received T-shirts and color packets, while children received capes. Volunteers threw nontoxic color powder during the race, and Frosty of Montana was on site selling ice cream before and after the event.

This year, 220 community members participated and raised just over $13,600. After expenses, the Dandelion Foundation netted nearly $6,800, which will be reinvested into the community to fund training and support for other nonprofits that assist children and families.
