The Electric City Water Park and Neighborhood Pools are set to open on Saturday, June 6th, at 12:00 PM, welcoming visitors for a summer of fun and recreation. However, guests should expect some important service changes at the Water Park. Due to ongoing mechanical and structural issues, both the Flow Rider and Lazy River attractions will not be operational this season. These complications have meant that these amenities do not currently meet state safety codes. The City is actively evaluating whether to invest in repairs for the existing equipment or to consider replacing these features with entirely new structures that can offer improved experiences for visitors.
Despite these closures, the City announced that Mitchell Pool will remain open at the Water Park this summer. All Neighborhood Pools and outdoor splash pads will be fully operational. All splash pads will open on June 6, except for the Lions Park Splash Pad, which will open earlier on May 24, giving visitors an extra option for water fun.
