We have received unconfirmed reports of a shooting incident downtown this morning. We are actively searching for more information and will provide updates as soon as we have them.
According to tips and reports that we have received, a female was shot in the leg while she was in a blue Challenger. She was later found in the alley with a gunshot wound in her lower leg. This was reportedly in regard to a party downtown.
We have heard it was around 7th or 8th and 1st north, and we now have 3 or 4 people confirming that is the right area. Gunshots were heard around 4 am. Police have 8th St. and 1st Ave. North blocked off at this time. Several vehicles have been impounded in relation to this incident.
The Great Falls Police Department has not released information at this time. This information has been received through scanner calls and community members.
