On March 4, at approximately 2:18 p.m., Great Falls Fire Rescue’s A Platoon received a call reporting a residential structure fire at 1701 Verde Drive.

Engine 1 was the first unit to arrive on the scene, where they found the resident of the home, along with his two dogs, safely outside. Firefighters entered the structure and quickly determined that the fire was located in the master bedroom.

Crews quickly controlled the fire and prevented it from spreading to other areas of the home. The source of the fire was confirmed to have originated from space heaters that had been in use on the bed.The occupant was connected with the American Red Cross for assistance. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in connection with the incident.
