Join us at the Great Falls Public Library on Tuesday, February 17 from 5 to 6:30 pm on the second floor for a celebration of the Great Falls Public Library Foundation’s Love Your Library Campaign and a welcoming reception for Amy Dissmeyer, the new Great Falls Public Library Director. During this open house style event we encourage the community to filter through as they wish.

Love Your Library is a city wide campaign where community members can write love letters to the Library. There were over 50 boxes throughout town with prompt cards for the community to fill out. The goal is to wrap the Library in love letters, and we can’t wait to show the community what they have written.

At this celebration, we will have all of the cards out on display around the Library. What a perfect way to end Valentine’s weekend! We will also be serving desserts from a variety of local businesses for you to enjoy. Those business include but are not limited to: Jake’s Bakes, Electric City Coffee, Little Light Coffee & Donuts, and Penny’s Gourmet To-Go.

We will also be debuting a special program, “Debbie’s Holiday Storytime Series”, in memory of Debbie Kuntz, beloved wife, mother, nana, and friend. Debbie made every holiday special for her children and grandchildren through homemade cookies and cherished story times. Thanks to the generosity of the Kuntz family, we’re bringing Debbie’s love of reading and holiday traditions to our community. There will be two readings, at 5:30 and 6:00 PM, with festive cookies and a special book for each child to take home and treasure.

We will also have a volunteer baking fresh cookies on the Charlie Cart during this event, again as a way to make this day even more special.
