Carter Scheels is the first baby of 2026 to be born at Benefis Health System.
He made his grand entrance at 8:56 a.m. on January 1, weighing 8 lbs. 14 oz. and measuring 21 inches long.
Proud parents Matt and Hannah were surprised when Carter decided to wait until New Year’s Day to arrive because they have so many family birthdays in December.
Big sister Sophia (7) and big brother Lewis (2) are excited to meet their new sibling, and this Great Falls family is starting 2026 with the very best kind of celebration.
