The History Museum & Research Center is decking the halls and inviting the community to enjoy a festive holiday season. On two Saturdays in December, the museum will be open with free admission and offer special events perfect for holiday shopping and merriment.

On Second Saturday, December 13, catch the soulful sounds of Sound of the Falls, an a cappella women’s choir, performing Christmas Carols at 12:30 pm. At 1:00 pm, historian Ken Robison will present “Celebrating Christmas in Early Great Falls,” a free admission presentation that explores the city’s first Christmas celebration in 1885 and other yuletide events in early Montana Territory. Both events are free admission.

The following Saturday, December 20, the museum’s Gift Shop & Bookstore will host its annual Holiday Open House from 12-5 pm, featuring an extra 15% off sale items. Additionally, visitors can snap a photo with Santa at a special photo booth from 1-4 pm.

On both Saturdays, the museum will be open with free admission from 12-5 pm, offering a chance to explore local history and holiday cheer.
