Calumet Montana and Montana Renewables are proud to announce the success of the Feed the Falls Food Drive, which ran from November 1st through the 21st in celebration of the annual Brawl of the Wild (Cats vs. Griz) football game. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Calumet team, local businesses, and community members, the drive collected 4,197 pounds of food for the Great Falls Community Food Bank.
The spirited competition between the Montana State Bobcats (Cats) and the University of Montana Grizzly (Griz) fans ended with the Cats narrowly claiming victory by 186 pounds. More importantly, the community came together to fight food insecurity. Achieving the food drive goal unlocked Calumet’s full match, adding $7,725 in critical funding to support families in need.
Shaun Tatarka, Executive Director of the Great Falls Community Food Bank, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating: “Your compassion and generosity empower us to meet the growing need for food across our community. Because of your support, children in Cascade County can focus on learning with full stomachs, and seniors on fixed incomes won’t have to choose between essential medicine and a meal. Calumet’s commitment has not only made a direct impact but has also inspired many other Cat/Griz drives throughout the region.”
Mariah Mandt, General Manager of Calumet Montana, added: “Feed the Falls is a great example of how our team and community partners come together to make a real difference. We’re proud to support the Great Falls Community Food Bank and help ensure families in our community have access to the food they need.”
