Each year the Schroeder family opens their farm for one day, for Jordan’s Pumpkins for a Cause. This is their way of giving back to the community for all the support they have received over the years. This year the Schroeder is celebrating the 10th annual Pumpkins for a Cause.

On Saturday, September 28th, everyone is invited to pick up a pumpkin, have some popcorn, and enjoy a hayride. This event takes place at the Schroeder farm at 87 Meridan Lane, Vaughn, Mt from 1 pm to 4 pm. The Schroeder family only ever asks that you make a donation, if you are able, to the charity they choose for the year.

Each year the Schroeder family chooses a charity around the area to support. This year the Schroeder family chose to benefit Sun River Valley Food Bank.

The Schroeder family continues to bring in donations and wrap things up usually around Thanksgiving each year. Last year Jordan’s Pumpkins raised a total of $12,644 for Family Promise of Great Falls. Over the past ten years, Jordan’s Pumpkins for a Cause has raised $54,000 for area non-profits.

This is a great way to enjoy the day and get that pumpkin for fall festivities. If you are a gardener and have extra pumpkins, what can be better than donating them to this great cause?

If you need more information, Jordan’s Pumpkins can be found on Facebook, and let them know you found them in The Great Falls Gazette.
