Local Musician, Choir Director, Teacher, Actor and Director Joel Corda performs his music at the first Summer Library Music Series show on Tuesday, June 18 from 7 to 9 pm. The concert is free to attend in Library Park.
Corda, a Great Falls native, began writing songs in high school while drumming with a band put together by Reggie Watts. Corda’s mother also was the choir director at St. Ann’s Cathedral, a job he would later take as well, for 16 years. These days when he’s not teaching choir at C.M. Russell High, he’s performing each weekend at the Sip n’ Dip, where he took over for the beloved “Piano Pat” Sponheim after she passed in 2021.
Corda has also directed musical plays in Great Falls, produced and written albums for himself, his band The No Account, and more.
Corda is the first of nine performers who will play each Tuesday in the Library Park. Following Joel’s show the library will welcome the Wilber Rehmann Quintet on June 25, Pollo Loco on July 9, Brandon Hale and the Dirty Shame on July 16, Supaman on July 23, Little Jane and the Pistol Whips on August 6, The Lucky Valentines on August 13, John Floridis on August 20 and Sally Jo and Friends Blue Grass on August 27.
Our sponsors this year are TDS Fiber, Scheels, Montana Credit Union, Bravera Bank and First Interstate Bank. Please note, people will need to bring their own blankets or chairs to these events and food trucks have been invited!
