Community members may notice an increased police presence in the 1000 block of 12th Street NW. Officers are investigating a serious incident and are expected to remain in the area for some time. A person has been taken into custody, and authorities have determined that there is no threat to nearby schools, so classes will continue as normal. If you live in this area, please assist by following the instructions of the officers on the scene.
