On Thursday, April 9th, at approximately 3:10 PM, 911 dispatchers received reports of a serious accident involving a motorcycle and a truck at the intersection of 3rd St NW and 16th Ave NW. Great Falls Police Department officers, crash investigators, and crews from Great Falls Fire Rescue and Great Falls Emergency Services responded to the scene. Unfortunately, the motorcycle driver was transported to the Benefis Health System Emergency Department, where they tragically passed away.

Crash Investigator O’Brien is seeking assistance with information. He would like to speak with anyone who was in the area during the time of the crash and may have captured it on a dashcam or by other means.

The photo shows a black vehicle that may be a Jeep. Investigator O’Brien believes the driver of this vehicle likely witnessed the accident and would like to hear their account of what happened. The driver is not suspected of being involved in the crash, but they are merely a witness who may have information.

UPDATE: The driver of the black SUV has been in contact with CI O’Brien. O’Brien reports that the driver of the SUV answered a few questions he had about the crash.

UPDATE: The deceased was confirmed to be an airman assigned to Malmstrom AFB. The name of the deceased is being withheld until 24 hours after next of kin notification.
