Due to the weather forecast, the Great Falls Park and Recreation Department will now be releasing the waterfowl back into Gibson Pond on Monday, April 6th, at 10:30 am.
The Public Library will be hosting Story Time at 9:30 am before the duck release. Bring your entire family! It’s entertaining for kids of all ages.
Park and Recreation staff take care of the waterfowl over the winter months at an indoor location at the north end of Gibson Park. While inside for the winter, the birds enjoy an indoor pond and are fed daily. Once they are released into Gibson Pond, they are still fed daily by staff.
