CRASH – A driver was cited for Following Too Closely after they hit the vehicle in front of them. The driver said their cell phone slid off the console, and just when they reached for it, the vehicle in front of them hit their brakes, and they ran into them.
NOISE DISTURBANCE – Officers investigated a complaint of loud noise coming from a house party. The owner of the house called the officers and explained that the property is a short-term rental and the guests were not allowed to host a party. The owner met officers at the house, presented the renters with a cancellation notice, and escorted them from the property.
TRESSPASS – A 26-year-old intoxicated bar patron was trespassed after they continuously exposed themself to other patrons.
ASSAULT W/WEAPON – Officers responded to reports of a person outside chasing another person with a knife. Upon investigation, officers determined there was a dispute about money, and a family member tried to stab another family member. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with Assault with a Weapon (F).
OVERDOSE – While several officers were on scene for a disturbance, a person ran up and told them someone was “turning blue”. The officers followed the person to a separate residence and found a person on the ground receiving CPR by a third person. The officers administered two rounds of NARCAN and called for emergency medical personnel. Once the person regained consciousness, they said they had taken three Hydrocodone at once and refused further medical care.
ROBBERY – Friday, January 16, 2026, at approximately 6 pm, callers told 911 dispatchers two people were causing a disturbance at a business in the 2500 block of 6th Ave N. The suspects left on foot before officers arrived. When officers made contact with employees and patrons of the store, they were told the suspects had stolen items and became involved in a physical altercation with employees before leaving the store. As officers searched the area for the suspects, a witness said the suspects went into a camper parked on private property behind the store. For over two hours, officers tried to contact the suspects via microphone and issued commands to come out. Eventually, a warrant was granted, and officers entered the camper. Both suspects were taken into custody and remanded to the Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office Adult Detention Center. One was charged with Robbery by Accountability (F) and Obstructing a Peace Officer (M), the other was charged with Robbery (F), Criminal Mischief (M), and Obstructing a Peace Officer (M).
