Strong winds across Montana today have caused power outages and interruptions to communications infrastructure. Some customers who called NorthWestern Energy’s Customer Care line earlier may have experienced dropped calls due to these conditions.

More than 35,000 NorthWestern Energy customers in Montana experienced an outage today. NorthWestern Energy crews and contractors are working together to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. Safety is our top priority. Please stay away from all downed or damaged power lines.

When clearing debris from the windstorm, use extreme caution and check for any power lines that may be hidden beneath debris.

Customers experiencing outages are asked to report them:

  • Online at https://www.northwesternenergy.com
  • Or call 888-467-2669
