MVD Express opened its doors in Great Falls at the beginning of March this year. “We’ve been in Montana now since 2018,” explained owner Janice Lucero. “We started in 2018 on the commercial side in Billings and then we opened a couple of years ago before the pandemic in Missoula and Bozeman and now Great Falls is our 4th town.”
MVD Express has a contract with the state that allows them to connect and operate on behalf of the state and counties. They offer services such as processing driver licenses, vehicle titles and registrations, and even do written and driving tests. They then pass on the money to the state or county driver’s license stations. “We are able to do both things in one office,” explained Janice. “So it’s really convenient for citizens of these four towns where we operate.”
MVD Express is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 8 am to 3 pm. Walk-ins are always welcome, however, you can make an appointment.
“We do charge a service fee because we aren’t paid by the state,” explained Janice. “That’s how we operate. People come to us to get the help and get the service they want and need and they pay an extra fee to do that.”
