PRESS RELEASE By MKA August 30th, 2023
Most all Formula 1 and Indy Car drivers started driving karts at a very young age. Many NASCAR drivers also got their start racing karts. Most people in Montana don’t know we have competitive kart racing that can help launch racing careers for our young drivers. The Montana Karting Association (a non-profit organization) was formed with a few fingers crossed and the dream of bringing competitive kart racing to Montana in 2008.
Montana Karting Association is celebrating their 15th year of kart racing in Montana on Saturday, September 9th at our next race day at our track located at 3425 Skyway Drive in Helena, Montana. Drivers come from all over the state of Montana to race sprint karts on pavement utilizing challenging road courses.
Our drivers are an amazing group that is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about racing sprint karts. We run three heat races and a main event trophy race with drivers racing nose to tail at top speeds of up to 70+ mph.
Our event is open to the public and free for spectators to watch the fun and we invite the media to interview our drivers at our upcoming 15th year anniversary race. Our drivers will be available for interviews from 11 AM to 1 PM.
