August 3rd through 7th, 2026, five law enforcement agencies joined forces to ensure sex offenders registered in Great Falls and Cascade County are following their court-ordered restrictions.
Law enforcement officers from Great Falls Police Department (GFPD), Cascade County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), United States Marshal Service (USMS) – District of Montana, Montana Department of Corrections – Adult Probation and Parole (MTP&P), and Montana Department of Justice – Division of Criminal Investigations (MTDCI), worked in small teams to contact, in-person, every registered sexual offender living in Cascade County. The goal of the operation was to physically verify addresses and registration information, and to identify individuals who may be in violation of Montana’s sex offender registration requirements.
This annual operation is funded by the USMS and is performed as a supplement to the sexual and violent offender monitoring programs executed year-round by GFPD and CCSO.

Operation Results
- 232 total offenders
- 199 in compliance
- 6 moved out of Cascade County
- 18 incarcerated
- 1 deceased
- 8 have active arrest warrants or are non-compliant. GFPD and CCSO will work closely with the Cascade County Attorney’s Office to determine the next steps for these offenders.
