Joshua Eugene Carroll Fladstol of Great Falls, Montana, passed away on June 14, 2026. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18th, 2026 at 1 o’clock PM at Croxford Funeral Home with a Graveside Service at Highland Cemetery to follow. The reception will be held at the Frontier Inn located at 3317 Vaughn Rd, Great Falls, Montana following the Graveside Service.
Joshua was born on July 15, 1981, in Portland, Oregon, and lived a life marked by adventure, devotion, and quiet strength. He was a loving husband, father, son, and friend whose presence brought warmth and steadiness to those around him.
Throughout his life, Joshua was raised and lived in numerous places around the world due to his father’s service in the military. It was in December of 2018 that he moved to Great Falls, Montana.
Joshua grew up with a strong work ethic and a determined spirit. He graduated from CMR High School in Great Falls, Montana, in 1999, and later attended MSU in Great Falls, where he pursued studies to become a physical therapy assistant. His commitment to learning continued throughout his life, and in 2024 he pursued his Bachelor’s degree in accounting, a reflection of both his perseverance and his desire to keep building a meaningful future for himself and his family.
Joshua was the beloved husband of Malenda Fladstol. The pair first met in Fort Hood, Texas and were later married on June 16th, 2010, in Killeen, Texas. The two shared 18 loving years together.
A proud Army veteran, Joshua entered the military right out of high school and spent many dedicated years fulfilling various roles and serving his country before retiring in 2012. After his time in the Army, he continued to work hard in a variety of roles. He worked in several kitchens where he brought reliability and care to every shift. He also served as a PTA at Benefis Hospital, offering support and compassion to patients in need. Joshua’s most recent position was completing food prep at Cafe Rio. No matter the job, Joshua approached his work with dedication and pride.
Joshua was adventurous by nature and found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. His favorite way to spend his free time was riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, especially the children which he loved so deeply. He also enjoyed reading fantasy books on his Kindle and had an interest in martial arts. These passions reflected the many sides of his character, from his love of freedom and excitement to his appreciation for discipline, imagination, and time well spent with those he cherished.
Those who knew Joshua will remember him as adventurous, loving, and kind. He had a way of making people feel welcome and valued, and he carried himself with a sincerity that left a lasting impression. His family and friends will remember his loyalty, his humor, and the deep love he held for the people in his life. He lived with purpose and heart, and he gave his best to the roles he held as husband, father, son, veteran, coworker, and friend.
Joshua is survived by his loving wife, Malenda, and his beloved daughters, McKenzie, Baylea, and Payslee. He is also survived by his father, Lathan “Doc” Fladstol, and his club brothers, Galloping Goose MC. He was preceded in death by family members Clinton Fladstol, Ruby Fladstol, and La Rae Fladstol. Joshua’s life was one filled with love, hard work, and meaningful connections. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his wife, daughters, father, extended family, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
