Community members may have noticed a significant police presence near 10th Ave S and 18th St S as authorities investigated a juvenile disturbance. Two individuals were transported to the emergency department with possible gunshot and stab wounds.
Several persons of interest were taken into custody. In light of the situation, several schools in the area enacted a shelter-in-place status as a precaution.
As of 3 PM, information regarding school releases was updated. The following schools released students with care: East Middle, Lincoln, Longfellow, Lewis and Clark, Great Falls High, and Paris Gibson. Parents were advised to pick up their children from their respective elementary schools. Although buses are running as normal, they may experience delays.
