On November 24th, the Great Falls Police Department swore in two new lateral officers. Unlike entry-level officers, lateral officers are already certified officers from other agencies. These two officers have demonstrated determination and drive as they adapt to their new careers.

Ashley Holloway, Badge #402, was born in Illinois and moved to New Mexico, where she worked as a dispatcher for three years. She then relocated to Texas, continuing her work as a dispatcher for another three years before becoming a police officer. She moved to Great Falls in October 2025.

Matthew Woods, Badge #403, was born in Great Falls and graduated from Great Falls High School in 2016. He worked with the Kalispell Police Department, transferred to the Polson Police Department, and is now returning to Great Falls.

Both officers were sworn in by Judge Mark Dunn.
