Local musician, actor and director Joel Corda returns to perform at the Great Falls Public Library in our Summer Library Music Series show on Tuesday, August 5 from 7 to 9 pm. The concert is free to attend in Library Park. Bootlegger BBQ will be on site to offer some hot dinner food for sale, as well. Bring a chair and/or blanket and take in the free music!

Corda, a Great Falls native, began writing songs in high school while drumming with a band put together by Reggie Watts. Corda’s mother also was the choir director at St. Ann’s Cathedral, a job he would later take for 16 years. He also performs each weekend at the Sip n’ Dip, where he took over for the beloved “Piano Pat” Spoonheim after she died in 2021. Corda performed in the Cordingley Room last June as part of our Summer Music Series. The show was moved indoors due to a rainstorm. He played a mix of covers and original songs, and even played the old piano that lives in the Cordingley Room much to the great enjoyment of the crowd. He played several requests from audience members, who asked him to perform a diverse range of songs on the fly.

When he’s not performing, Corda has also directed musical plays in Great Falls, produced and written albums for himself, his one-time band The No Account, and more.

The Great Falls Public Library Summer Music Series would not be possible without the following incredible sponsors: The Great Falls Public Library FoundationTDS Fiber, Scheels, Montana Credit Union and First Interstate Bank.

Below is the remaining schedule of bands set to perform at Library Park this summer. In the event of bad weather, the music will be moved indoors to the Cordingley Room.

August 12 — Foreshadow (Native Hip Hop)
August 19 — David and Diedre Casey (Folk/soul/Americana)
August 26 — The Strawberry Jam Band (Bluegrass)
