Dr. Clem C. Pellett

On Saturday, June 14th, Dr. Clem C. Pellett will host a book signing event at Barnes & Noble in Great Falls, Montana, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. His new true crime book, “Murder on Montana’s Hi-Line,” recounts the tale of his grandfather, Clarence Pellett, who was murdered near Shelby in 1951. The book delves into how the convicted killer evaded capture for four decades, becoming Montana’s longest-running fugitive. Driven by a profound need for answers, Dr. Pellett’s investigation ultimately led to the arrest of the fugitive, revealing a poignant narrative about justice, memory, and the lasting effects of violence on families and communities.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to get copies of the book signed by Dr. Pellett, who will also share insights into his personal journey in uncovering the details surrounding his grandfather’s tragic murder.

Dr. Pellett, a native of Great Falls, is a retired oral and maxillofacial surgeon who transitioned to a career as a licensed private investigator. His investigative work has received attention both nationally and internationally. His story will also be depicted in the upcoming feature film “Pellett,” which was filmed in Shelby and Great Falls and is scheduled for release in late 2025.

Stop in the Barnes & Noble at 1601 Market Place Dr Suite 65, for this compelling event to meet Dr. Pellett, learn about his remarkable journey, and take home a signed copy of “Murder on Montana’s Hi-Line.”
