The City’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is set to take place once again this year, facilitated by the generous support of Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz of Steel Etc.

This family-oriented event is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th, at Elks Riverside Park, commencing at 11 a.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive no later than 10:45 a.m., as the event is designed to be enjoyable regardless of the weather conditions.

The Easter Egg Hunt will feature eggs containing candy, coins, and special prizes. Age divisions for the hunt include: 1-3 years, 4-6 years, and 7-9 years. Musical entertainment will be provided by Jim and Sue Sargent, and the Easter Bunny will be present for photo opportunities.

Special thanks to Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz, as well as Steel Etc., for their continued financial contributions that have enabled this Easter tradition to continue for the eleventh consecutive year. Twelve years ago, the event faced the possibility of cancellation due to a funding shortfall; however, Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz generously offered to cover all related expenses. Their consistent support has played a crucial role in sustaining this longstanding tradition while significantly enhancing the overall experience of the event. The contributions of Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz and Steel Etc. exemplify their commitment to community betterment through philanthropy.

Special thanks to the members of AmeriCorps for their dedicated efforts in filling the eggs for the hunt.
