OverHere Consulting is a unique business that began in 2013. Following the significant event of Ed Worrell losing his eyesight in 2008, he dedicated several years to determining his future career path. His experiences working with Easter Seals and Vocational Rehabilitation, in addition to serving as an instructor at the Montana Association for the Blind, revealed a notable deficiency in the availability of technical support and troubleshooting specifically tailored for individuals with visual impairments.
OverHere Consulting specializes in assistive technology, offering both equipment and instructional guidance on the use of computers, iPhones, iPads, and tablets equipped with assistive software.
In 2014, Ed and his wife Becky relocated to the Times Square building, which they continue to regard as their forever home. “The whole premise of our business is to help blind and low-vision Montanans maintain independence at school, in the workplace, and at home,” explained Ed. “A lot of that is done through assistive technology. We focus on teaching people, how to use the equipment and software to maintain employment, maintain their independence, and home school or work.”
OverHere Consulting extends its services throughout the entirety of Montana and into Wyoming and Idaho. The organization maintains collaborative relationships with the Montana Association for the Blind, the National Federation of the Blind of Montana, and the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind.
Both Ed and Becky were both born and raised in Montana, with Ed having grown up merely six blocks from the Times Square building. His longstanding affection for this building, once owned by the Montana Farmers Union, significantly influenced their decision to establish their operations there.
