The Cascade Chargers is a youth sports organization dedicated to promoting rugby for participants aged 5 to 19. Established last year, the program is divided into several age divisions: 5 to 10 years, 10 to 12 years, 12 to 15 years, and a high school program for ages 15 to 19.
The Cascade Chargers is open to all individuals. While the majority of participants are from Great Falls, they also welcome youth from Fort Benton, Belt, and surrounding communities. Rugby is recognized as the fastest-growing youth sport in the state, and the Cascade Chargers have expanded to over 100 participants.
The inclusive nature of rugby allows them to form additional teams as numbers grow, and they do not implement roster cuts. As long as there are dedicated and capable individuals involved, there will be a place for every child to participate. Rugby is a sport for everyone, and a player’s success is not solely dependent on physicality or aggressiveness.
Participants can join the program at any point during the season, ensuring they have the opportunity to experience this dynamic sport. Their primary focus is to encourage youth participation. Regardless of the number of players, everyone will have the opportunity to play.
The Cascade Chargers are fortunate to have an exemplary coaching staff that prioritizes moral character and integrity.
