Family Promise of Great Falls is the recipient of a generous $6,500 grant from 1,000 in Action.  Family Promise of Great Falls is extremely thankful for this grant, which will be used to support one of their Stabilization Programs called the Journey Program. Funds from this grant will be used to assist families who are already utilizing Family Promise’s services and case management to help to keep them stably housed.  The Journey Program follows families with intensive case management and goal setting for a period of one year or more.  When participating in the Journey Program, families meet bi-weekly with the case manager to set goals that will continue to help them thrive.  Currently there are 12 families in the Journey Program with the organization.

Family Promise and 1,000 in Action are both registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.  Family Promise is committed to helping homeless or nearly homeless children and their families achieve stable and permanent housing.  1,000 in Action is comprised of a group of community leaders who are committed to ending child abuse in our community.  Family Promise holds their families to high standards where children are concerned, screening out individuals with crimes against children in their background.  Family Promise staff members are mandatory reporters, and if there is suspected child abuse occurring within a family, their staff go into action to make decisions that are in the best interest of the children in the household.  The two organizations are committed to keeping Cascade County children safe and secure.
