Neighbors Helping Neighbors – October 8th

Neighbors helping neighbors is a local listing where you can find ways of assisting others in your local community. By working with local non-profit organizations, we can reach out to people in need safely and help insure people’s needs are met.

Emilie Center – The Emilie Center is in need of diapers sizes 5&6, towels, washcloths, deodorant, and bars of soap. All items are greatly appreciated. Please call (406) 771-6695 or stop by 1920 10th Ave South.

My Neighbor in Need – Older woman with four children, recently started working and is in need of a bus pass to get to and from work because she will not receive a paycheck for another two weeks. A monthly bus pass costs $30. If you can help, you can either purchase the bus pass from Great Falls Transit or make a donation to My Neighbor in Need and we will buy the pass on your behalf. Kairos Youth Services – Kairos Youth Services is in need of large and extra-large male coats, gloves, hats, scarves, toothpaste, body wash, deodorant, and shampoo. Any and all items are greatly appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at 625 Central Ave W Suite 205 or call (406) 727-0076.

Great Falls Community Food Bank – The Great Falls Community Food Bank is in need of cereal, canned pasta, Thanksgiving dinner items including turkey, canned gravy, canned yams, canned fruit except peaches, vegetables, and cranberry sauce. Any and all items are greatly appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at 1620 12th Ave N between 7 am and 3:30 pm or call (406) 452-9029.

Great Falls Rescue Mission – The Great Falls Rescue Mission is in need of adult winter gloves, twin sheets, coffee, creamer, sugar, hot chocolate, and cereal. Any and all items are greatly appreciated. Donations may be dropped off at 408 2nd Ave S at the North East door, or call (406) 761-2653. The Women’s shelter is in need of a toolbox and tools, please drop off at 317 2nd Ave S.

Great Falls Children’s Receiving Home – The Great Falls Children’s Receiving Home is in need of individually packaged snacks, towels, teenage-sized undergarments, Halloween costumes in all sizes, cleaning wipes, and tissues. Any and all items are greatly appreciated. Please call (406) 727-4843 to arrange to have items picked up.

City of Great Falls Animal Shelter – City of Great Falls Animal Shelter is in need of wet cat food, bleach, laundry detergent, dawn dish soap, dog potty pads, clay cat litter, and 55-gallon garbage bags. All items are greatly appreciated. Please stop by 1010 25th Ave NE or call (406) 454-2276.

Opportunities Inc – Opportunities Inc is in need of hygiene items (diapers, toothpaste and brushes, laundry soap, body soap, deodorant, female sanitary supplies, etc.), winter clothing (adult size gloves and mittens), transportation supports (gasoline cards), move-in items (kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies, bedding, etc.), used furniture (gently used couches, tables, etc.). St. Vincent de Paul – St. Vincent de Paul is in need of gently used clothing, hygiene products, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, crackers, cereal, canned beans, as well as items for Christmas food boxes including, canned cranberries, canned fruit cocktail, canned vegetables (corn or green beans), olives or pickles, canned yams/sweet potatoes, boxed cake mix, a jar of frosting, boxed stuffing, Jello or pudding, Christmas candy, snack crackers/saltines, ham, and turkey. Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center – Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center is in need of blankets, hard sturdy dog toys, and dog treats. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Please call (406) 727-7387 or stop by 900 25th Avenue NE.

Family Promise of Great Falls – Family Promise is in need of Chef Boyardee canned pasta, bottled water, printer paper, Pop tarts, Macaroni n Cheese Cups, Diapers and Pull Ups (larger sizes especially size 6), Baby Wipes, Shampoo and Conditioner (larger bottles please), Hairbrushes, Hair ties, Hair detangler spray, Razors, and Shaving Cream.
