Kayla Rognoni started practicing dancing in elementary school. Dance became a way for her to cope with constantly moving due to her father being in the military. “I always had a hard time adjusting, but dance was always a constant,” explained Kayla.

During high school, Kayla competed in various dance competitions, including nationals and regionals. She was drawn to dance and decided to pursue teaching it. At that time, she decided to go to college for dance and went to the University of Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she majored in dance and minored in business.

After completing college, Kayla taught for 3 years at another studio in Great Falls. She sought to create a better environment for her students, emphasizing the importance of a religious-based foundation, and opened the doors to Faith in Motion Dance Studio on June 5th, 2023.

Kayla holds a dance degree and focuses on teaching children aged 4 to 18. She prioritizes proper technique and emphasizes the importance of avoiding injuries through correct training. She also aims to foster a strong sense of community within her studio. The studio is family-oriented, and she organizes gatherings twice a year to build a close-knit community. Over 30 students attend Faith in Motion Dance, with the student-teacher ratio kept low, with no more than 8 students per class, to ensure individual attention and quality instruction.

Kayla’s mom found the space right above the chapel, her dad did all the construction work, and she saved up the $20k and bought all the flooring and mirrors herself. Together, they made the studio a reality.  “My parents helped out, but I wanted to make sure all this was on me,” explained Kayla. “I couldn’t have done this without them though, they are always supportive.”

From July 5th – 9th, Faith in Motion attended their first Nationals as a group. “I am so proud of our team and all the things that we have accomplished together this year,” replied Kayla. “No one thought we could do it, and we did all thanks to God! This is just one chapter in our book, and I can’t wait to see where the rest of the years will lead us.”
