Jersey Mikes had a day of giving on March 27th. All proceeds went to Great Falls Special Olympics. The total amount was $14,528.61! What a marvelous contribution to a needy cause. They do this fundraiser nationwide, contributing 100 percent of all sales.
The manager, Brit, runs a good ship. When we went in for lunch, the place was buzzing with activity. We were impressed with all the worker’s positive attitudes and efficiency. The food is delicious.
Some Special Olympics individuals and volunteers hand out fliers on their success every year. Over 3000 athletes take part in 70 – 90 competitions yearly, ranging in ages eight up to 99.
Holly Netz is Director of marketing and communications. Special Olympics focuses on community connection and leadership training with athletes engaged in health and fitness initiatives.
