The City’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt is back again this year, thanks to Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz of Steel Etc. This fun-filled family event will take place on Saturday, March 30th at 11 a.m. in Gibson Park. It’s advisable to arrive no later than 10:45 a.m. and be prepared to have fun, no matter what the weather conditions are.
The Easter Egg Hunt will have eggs filled with candy, coins, and special prizes. The age groups for the Easter Egg Hunt are 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9. Jim and Sue Sargent will keep the families entertained with their music. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance, so don’t forget to bring your basket.
The City of Great Falls Park and Recreation department is grateful to Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz and Steel Etc. for their generous financial donation that has made this Easter tradition possible for the eleventh year. When the Easter Egg Hunt was in danger of being canceled eleven years ago due to a lack of funding, Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz and Steel Etc. came forward and offered to pay all the expenses associated with the event. Thanks to their annual support, the Park and Recreation Department has been able to continue this longstanding tradition and significantly improve the event. Jimmy and Debbie Filipowicz and Steel Etc. are exceptional community members who generously fund the Easter Egg Hunt expenses and contribute to various philanthropic efforts throughout the community.
When asked why his business continues to sponsor the event, Filipowicz explained, “The Easter Egg Hunt is a great event for children and the community. We didn’t hesitate to offer our support in 2011, and entering into our eleventh year, we are more committed than ever. It’s rewarding to feel the excitement in the air and to see the great time the kids have. I have a soft heart when it comes to kids and we want to see this annual tradition continue. The community has been good to our business and we want to give back.”
Special thanks go to the Cascade FFA for dedicating countless hours towards filling the eggs for the Egg Hunt. The Park and Recreation staff feels extremely fortunate to have such exceptional partners and are proud to host a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt that promises to be a joyous experience for families.
