The US Attorney for the District of Montana Jesse Laslovich on Tuesday, February 20 at 3 pm in the Cordingley Room will lead a discussion on how to report and prevent hate crimes in the United Against Hate event.

Joining the US. Attorney General for Montana Jesse Laslovich are local and federal partners and representatives with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Great Falls County Attorney Office and the Great Falls Police Department. 

United Against Hate is an initiative launched by the U.S. Department of Justice focused on improving the prevention of hate crimes and hate incidents by building relationships at the local level. Through this initiative, the Justice Department seeks to create and strengthen partnerships among law enforcement, community leaders, and residents. This meeting is one in a series of meetings the U.S. Attorney’s Office is holding throughout Montana.

This event will be an opportunity for the local community to engage with federal agencies and local law enforcement and increase understanding and the process for reporting hate crimes. Attendees of Tuesday’s event are welcome to ask questions or give comments, as well.
