Great Falls, Mont – Sheila Partain is a very strong woman. She started Stranger Things as a way to help take care of her son as a single mother. “Isaiah was a bit of a problem in school, so I had to keep leaving work to go to the school to be with him” Sheila explained. “I couldn’t keep leaving all the other employees hanging, so I had to figure something else out. We started going to yard sales and we would buy stuff then we would have yard sales. That way I could keep Isaiah with me all the time. We finally worked up enough to where a guy that was running the Westgate Mall let me go in there for $50 a month, and gradually it grew into this.”

In the beginning of August, she went in for a biopsy and found out soon after that it was breast cancer. They quickly made appointments and got her in to have lumpectomy surgery on August 15th. The surgery went well, and they were told everything was found and removed.

After finishing at Sletten Cancer Institute, she went back for a check-up and found an infection where the surgery was performed and was scheduled for more surgery.

Sheila is not accustomed to asking for help, however, as the medical bills are starting to roll in, they have decided to ask for assistance.

“My mom is the most amazing person I know,” explained Isaiah. “After my dad passed when I was 1 year old from a car crash, it has been just me and her. She is my best friend, and I don’t know what I would do without her. We are just asking for a little help to keep her healthy and happy.”

“Isaiah has been my rock going through this,” explained Sheila. “Things have been pretty stressful for a while. Big thanks to my kids and grandkids and also a couple of very amazing friends for being there for me through this really scary time. Thank you to everyone for the compassion I have been shown.”
