Family Promise of Great Falls and City Motors: Saving Families

Family Promise of Great Falls first opened its doors on January 11, 2015, with a mission to end childhood homelessness, one family at a time.

On September 7th United Way & City Motors will be hosting the “City Motors Saving Families” event at City Chevrolet. Family Promise will be available from 4-6 p.m. to talk about what they do for our community and how they plan to grow in the future.

From September 7th – 15th City Chevrolet will donate $250 from every vehicle sold to Family Promise of Great Falls.

“Family Promise works specifically with homeless children and their families,” explained Tiffany Wilkson, Family Promise Outreach and Operations Specialist. “We have a static shelter site where we can house up to two families at a time. Our office is in Central Christian Church at 1019 Central Ave. We have a day room with laundry facilities, shower facilities, and we have a limited food pantry. So far this year, we’ve helped approximately 44 families with 98 children, with services such as shelter, case management, and addiction prevention.”

If you have been thinking about getting that new vehicle, there is no better time to do it and help support this great cause.
