Meet Buck: A Senior Cat with a Heart Full of Love

Buck is a 13-year-old neutered male cat currently available for adoption at the Great Falls Animal Shelter. While Buck may have a few medical challenges, he has an extraordinary spirit and a deep capacity for affection that sets him apart.

Buck has endured a rough past, including frostbite damage to his left ear and significant trauma to both eyes. As a result, his right eye was removed, and he is now blind in his remaining eye. Despite this, Buck navigates his world with surprising confidence, using his whiskers and other heightened senses to adapt to new environments.

This resilient senior cat is incredibly sweet and affectionate. Known around the shelter as a “total love bug,” Buck thrives on human interaction and is happiest when nestled safely in someone’s lap. He loves being pet, leans into gentle attention, and gives the kind of comforting head bumps that only a cat with a big heart can deliver.

Because of his blindness, Buck is considered a special needs adoption and will require a safe and consistent environment where he can map out his surroundings. He does well with routines and would be best suited to a calm household where he can feel secure and loved.

If you’re ready to open your home and heart to a truly special companion, Buck may be the perfect match.
