The Cascade County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with its partner agencies, has recently encountered technical issues with the CodeRED platform. These difficulties have affected both public registration and internal system access.
The scheduled public test of the CodeRED emergency notification system, which was set to take place on Wednesday, November 12, at 10:00 am, has been postponed. The Sheriff’s Office is working alongside the Cascade County Disaster and Emergency Services (DES), the Great Falls Police Department (GFPD), and Great Falls Fire Rescue (GFFR) to address these challenges.
The Sheriff’s Office and DES are working closely with CodeRED’s service provider to resolve the issues and to ensure that all user registrations are functioning appropriately. A revised date for the test will be announced once these technical concerns have been addressed.
Sheriff Jesse Slaughter stated, “We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through these technical challenges. This system is an important tool for public safety, and we want it to be fully reliable before we roll it out to the community.”
Residents will receive notifications via official channels as further information becomes available.
