Each year, the Schroeder family opens their farm for a one-day event called Jordan’s Pumpkins for a Cause. This event is their way of giving back to the community in appreciation of the support they have received over the years. This year, they celebrated the 11th annual Pumpkins for a Cause, selecting the Cutting Fences Foundation to support.
Pumpkins for a Cause set a record this year by raising $22,227.00 for the Cutting Fences Foundation and Podcast.
The Schroeder Family and Cutting Fences Foundation and Podcast wished to thank everyone who contributed by releasing the following message on Facebook:
“Whether you shared the post, attended or volunteered at the event or harvest, if you helped set up the pumpkin patch, whether you made a donation, if you said a prayer for us, if you loaned a tractor for us to use, or were one of those folks who drove the hay wagons, those who loaded and unloaded the wagons. To the gardeners, farmers, and ranchers who shared pumpkins and produce for the event. To the popcorn makers, the firetruck vehicles who came out, and the business that donated bottled water for those who came out to support the day of. Thanks too, to the folks who brought porta-potties out for us. To the ranch that donated beef, and the person who helped us obtain a little grant to help us feed the 150+ volunteers, especially those who came from Kansas, Colorado, and Utah to help out. To the photographer who took participant photos for free, to the deli that donated a portion of beverage sales as people were driving by, coming to our event. To the donors who put up matching funds for the event. So many volunteers, so very many kind people helping in whatever way was comfortable for them. Together, we have shown we do amazing things for those who support others. We are grateful to each of you.”
Next year’s event will take place on September 26, 2026. Let’s unite once again to meet or exceed this year’s donation!
