Laurie Jane McKamey Ketron passed away on June 22, 2025 in Issaquah, Washington. A celebration of life ceremony was held on August 16, 2025 in Seattle.
She was born on August 19, 1954 to Don and Beverly McKamey. She graduated with honors from C.M. Russell High School and Montana State University where she earned a degree in music education. She attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and received a pass with distinction commendation.
Laurie married Gary Ketron in 1979 and the couple’s son, Gregory, was born in 1998. She was a professional pianist, accompanist and piano teacher in the Seattle area for more than 40 years.
Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Don McKamey; grandparents, Bill and Miriam Stearns, Great Falls; and in-laws, Fred and June Ketron, Helena. She is survived by her mother, Beverly McKamey, Great Falls; husband Gary Ketron, Issaquah, Washington; son Gregory Ketron, Boston, Massachusetts; sisters Jennifer Blessum and Shelley McKamey, Bozeman; brother Bill McKamey, Great Falls, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
