The City Commission is looking for citizens interested in serving on the Airport Authority Board, Mansfield Center for the Performing Arts Advisory Board, Park and Recreation Advisory Board or the Planning Advisory Board. All applicants must be city residents and qualified electors to apply. Applications will be accepted through Friday, November 14th, 2025.
Airport Authority Board is the governing body and policy setting board for the operation and management of Great Falls International Airport. The board is responsible for employing the Airport Director, who hires staff and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Airport. The Board consists of seven members, appointed to three-year terms. The City Commission appoints four members, and the Cascade County Commission appoints three members. Currently, there are 2 board members with terms that are set to expire on December 31, 2025. Mansfield Center for the Performing Arts Advisory Board consists of five to seven members and advises the Manager and City Commission on all matters related to the successful operation of the Mansfield Center for the Performing Arts and public meeting rooms within the Civic Center. Members serve three-year terms. Currently, there are 3 board members with terms that are set to expire on December 31, 2025. Meetings are the third Friday of each month at noon. Park and Recreation Advisory Board is a seven-member board that advises the City Commission and the City Manager on all matters related to Park and Recreation programs in the City of Great Falls. Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m. Members serve three-year terms. Currently, there are 2 board members with terms that are set to expire on December 31, 2025. Planning Advisory Board is a seven-member Board that advises the City Commission on many aspects of Great Falls area growth and development including amendments to the Growth Plan, zoning, land subdivision, annexation, transportation planning, planning roadway improvements, and related general planning issues. Members serve three-year terms. Currently, there are 2 board members with terms that are set to expire on December 31, 2025, and another member is resigning at the end of December.
