On the morning of October 15, 2025, at 8:25 AM, law enforcement officers were dispatched to the vicinity of 15th Street North and River Drive North in response to a report of a driver who had lost consciousness while operating a vehicle. Prior to the officers’ arrival at the initial call location, the driver reportedly regained consciousness and commenced traveling southbound on 15th Street North, a designated northbound one-way street. Officers swiftly located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop by activating their lights and sirens. Officers successfully immobilized the suspect’s vehicle in the 1700 block of 10th Avenue South; during this process, the suspect utilized the vehicle to ram another police vehicle in an apparent attempt to evade capture.

The driver was arrested shortly thereafter and transported to the Benefis Emergency Department before being remanded to the Cascade County Adult Detention Center. The 41-year-old female driver faces multiple charges, including the following:

  • Aggravated Fleeing (felony)
  • Assault with a Weapon (felony)

  • Driving Under the Influence (misdemeanor)
  • Reckless Driving – three counts (misdemeanor)
  • Resisting Arrest (misdemeanor)
  • Hit and Run – Failure to Remain on Scene When a Person is Injured (misdemeanor)

Throughout the incident, several community members sustained minor injuries as a result of the collisions instigated by the suspect.
